Dr. Frederick De’Wayne Tappan, Sr. is Senior Pastor of Eureka TrueVine Baptist Church in Memphis TN. For 29 years, he has led that congregation. He has been happily married for 37 years, to Regina Tappan and they have 2 children, Frederick, II and Alexis and 3 grandsons, Frederick, III, Alexander and Benjamin.

He is a published author (4 books), print journalist (Commercial Appeal) former 4 year, radio host of The Frederick Tappan Show(KWAM Radio), and he also ran for Tennessee State Senate. He is currently a candidate for the Memphis Shelby County School Board, District 6. 

Dr. Frederick De’Wayne Tappan is Dean of the Memphis Theological Institute, Executive Director of The Memphis Area Youth Association and The Founder of AMSI Community Empowerment Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for The Salvation Army, Saving Lost Kids and The Care Center prenatal assistance organization. 

He is currently the Regional Case Manager and Legal Analyst for The Memphis Allies Organization. Dr. Tappan has also served as Chief Capital Investigator for The Shelby County Tennessee Public Defender Office, adjunct professor at Southwest Tennessee Community College and Arkansas State University. He taught at Memphis-Shelby County Schools, Memphis City Schools, and graduated from the Harvard University Leadership Institute.
